Cuban Bites started the way the best ideas do — with two women who believed, and two husbands who needed a little convincing. As two couples, we knew building a business together wouldn't be easy, but we also knew that if we were going to do it, we were going to do it right. Cuban Bites comenzó como comienzan las mejores ideas — con dos mujeres que creyeron, y dos esposos que necesitaban un poco de convencimiento. Como dos parejas, sabíamos que montar un negocio juntos no sería fácil, pero también sabíamos que si lo íbamos a hacer, lo íbamos a hacer bien.
Our first idea was a food spot at a truck drivers' plaza — one of those big roadside stops where the rigs park, the drivers rest, and everyone's looking for a good meal. But the right location never showed up. So we made a deal: find the perfect spot, and everyone's in. When this location appeared, all four of us looked at each other and just knew. No debate needed. Nuestra primera idea fue un puesto de comida en una parada de camioneros — una de esas grandes paradas donde los camiones se estacionan, los conductores descansan y todos buscan una buena comida. Then came the real work — months of cooking, tasting, and feeding the whole family until every single dish on our menu earned its place. Nothing made it to Cuban Bites unless it passed the family table test. And when we can't agree? It usually breaks down the same way — the two wives on one side, the two husbands on the other. That's when the dominó board comes out. Two couples, one game, and whoever wins makes the call. Very Cuban. Very us. ¿Y cuando no estamos de acuerdo? Siempre termina igual — las dos esposas de un lado, los dos esposos del otro.
